A short distance from the apartment is also the beautiful local beaches and the always colorfull Mediterranean Sea.

THE AREA
Makarska is one of the largest villages along the Makarska Riviera and it has approximately 20.000 citizens. In Makarska there is a lot of activity on cafés and bars, also outside the normal tourist season. The village can offer large variation of restaurants along the sea side and in the small alleys in the old town.
Makarska village has a beautiful location below the dramatic Biokovo mountains, surrounded with green pine forests and white pebble beaches with possibly Croatia’s clearest water. The village is a starting point of more than 20 km of walking- and biking trails along the sea. The village is also surrounded by excelent possibilities for many outdoor activities in the national park of Biokovo.
Makarska is also a great starting point for exploring other parts of Dalmatia, with among other things frequent ferry departures to the island of Brac and Hvar.
